San Pedro de Atacama is located just one hour from El Loa International Airport in Calama. The airport is serviced by multiple flights each day, primarily from Santiago, which is a two-hour flight away. The hotel venue offers a shuttle service from the airport for a fee.

During May 2025, the weather in San Pedro de Atacama will typically be dry and pleasant during the day, with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 21°C. However, the nights will be cool to cold, with temperatures dropping between 7°C and 10°C. Unexpected sporadic rain is also a possibility during this month. If you plan tovisit high-altitude areas, such as the Geysers del Tatio, be prepared for even colder temperatures, reaching as low as -2°C. It’s essential to bring a warm jacket during May.

Travel light, but make sure to pack sturdy outdoor hiking boots. Bring comfortable, layered clothing, such as fleeces, t-shirts, swimwear, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. Include a warm shirt for chilly nights and lower altitudes, as well as a warm hat and gloves—especially if you visit the geysers. Don’t forget essentials like lip balm, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Additionally, pack a small backpack to carry water bottles, snacks, an extra shirt, and sunscreen.
